Please review all sections below, including the Data Privacy and Participation Fee Agreement, the Non-Discrimination and Participant Agreement, and the Collecting Information from Minors Policy. A short summary of these agreements:
- We collect your information, and use it for reasonable purposes, like to contact you. We’ll try to be careful with that information.
- Everybody is welcome and should feel included. Don’t do anything to make anybody else feel excluded or unsafe.
- Be kind.
- Treat everybody, and their stuff, with respect.
- If you see something offensive, let somebody in charge know. We’ll take your report seriously, treat you (and the reported offender) with respect, and we’ll do our best to take care of it.
- Parents/Guardians are the only people who should provide information on their minor children.
The specific details for each of these summary points is described in the sections that follow.
Data Privacy and Participation Fee Agreement
By signing up for or participating in any event sponsored by Friends of Herriman Arts Council (FoH), you agree to the following terms and conditions:
- Registration or participation fees, if charged, are non-refundable. Occasionally, due to extenuating circumstances refunds may be approved by FoH. If a refund is approved, you agree to pay a $5.00 processing fee (per participant/registration) which will be deducted from your refund. This helps cover the cost of the processing fees for the refund, as well as other costs incurred by FoH including (but not limited to) material and supplies.
- By submitting personally identifiable information on any FoH form or contracted third-party platform, you agree to share your personal information with FoH. This information may be used in any of the following ways: (1) TO CONTACT YOU about your registration; (2) TO INVITE YOU to participate in future Friends of Herriman activities, auditions, or events; (3) for the legitimate business needs of Friends of Herriman.
- Your personal data may be shared for legitimate FoH business needs. For example, if there is a need for an event team to contact parents, the required information would be given to those in charge of the event associated with FoH. We also would share information required to comply with a legal court order. FoH will use reasonable precautions to protect sensitive information. Your data may be stored by contracted third-party providers.
- This event is being put on by Friends of Herriman, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that is contracted with, but not owned by, Herriman City. Herriman City is not responsible or liable for the actions of Friends of Herriman.
These Terms and Conditions include (by reference) the official Friends of Herriman Privacy Policy, which you can read at friendsofherriman.org/privacy-policy/.

Friends of Herriman invites all people to participate in our activities and events without regard to ability, race, color, religion or creed, national origin or ancestry, age, sex (including gender, pregnancy, sexual orientation, and gender identity or gender expression), veteran status, or citizenship. Collectively, these are referred to as “protected classes”.
These guidelines were created for your protection as a volunteer, and to foster a community of inclusion and respect. All people should feel part of our arts family, and we won’t tolerate any behavior that would make someone feel unwelcome.
The following behaviors are strictly prohibited, and may be ground for immediate dismissal from the event and from future Friends of Herriman events:
- Abusive language; violence or threats of violence; verbal, physical, sexual, or emotional abuse towards any staff member, volunteer, production member, or the member of the public.
- Possession of or use of illegal drugs, alcohol, or other substances while participating in any FoH event, activity, or rehearsal.
- Theft of property or resources including from FoH, Herriman City, or other participants.
- Vandalism, including vandalism of the venues we use for rehearsal or performance.
- Disrespect to other workshop members, workshop team, or the public.
- Comments, jokes, or language that is sexually or otherwise harassing to anyone, including to another participant or to a volunteer of Friends of Herriman.
- Conduct endangering the life, safety, health, or well-being of others.
- Bullying or taking unfair advantage of another participant.
- Failing to cooperate with staff, board members, or other production or Friends of Herriman leadership.
- Engaging in conduct detrimental to the organization, or actions which undermine the organization or Herriman City.
Please note that “just joking” or “trying to be funny” are not acceptable excuses for violating these terms. Nobody wants to be the butt of a joke, and some jokes can undermine the unity we intend to promote among our volunteers and participants.
Anyone who sees ANY violation of these terms should immediately report the behavior to a member of the event staff or to a Friends of Herriman board member. The Friends of Herriman board will evaluate the report and determine the best course of action in response to all reports, at their discretion, and will endeavor to ensure the anonymity of all involved, where possible.
Collecting Information from Minors Policy
