Skate the Park – Friends of Herriman Parks

Lace up your skates and roll through the decades at Skate the Park! Held monthly at the Ice Ribbon at J. Lynn Crane Park, this free, nostalgic community event invites skaters of all ages to bring their own skates and helmets and groove to the best hits from the ’70s, ’80s, ’90s, and early 2000s. Each night features a new decade theme, complete with music, lights, and throwback vibes. Come dressed in era-inspired outfits, enjoy themed photo ops, and enjoy retro fun for the whole family!

We’re rolling out good vibes and great times at Skate the Park — and we need your help to keep things safe and fun for everyone!

1. We’re looking for friendly, responsible volunteer Skate Marshals to help monitor the skate path, guide skaters, assist with minor spills, and keep the event running smoothly.

1. ✅ No pro skating skills required
   ✅ Must be 16+ (we are looking for at least 4-5 volunteers comfortable on skates but skating is not required!)
   ✅ Great opportunity for teens, service groups, and community-minded folks

1. As a Skate Marshal, you’ll help create a positive experience for families and skaters of all ages while making sure everyone stays safe and has a blast.
